Zulaika Sunthbocus is the co founder of Spoon consulting Ltd., one of the most
innovative IT consulting and software development companies of Mauritius
regrouping more than 200 experts to accompany their clients throughout the world
including Mauritius in their digital transformation journey. Zulaika has been the
managing director during 15 years, she has been head of various fields crucial for
the expansion of the company, for example recruitment, people management, client
satisfaction, marketing, quality management and SDGs' achievements.
One of the major strengths of her leadership style is her ability to create talents and to make her people step out of their comfort zone to become high achievers.
Zulaika is highly engaged in the IT sector : She works in close collaboration with the IT institutions, sharing her ideas to leverage the digital incentives in the private and public sectors and connecting both foreign and local leaders of the IT ecosystem.
Zulaika was the only woman nominee of the IBL Tecoma Award and won the 'Coup de Coeur du Jury' award in 2017. This award largely contributed in recognizing Zulaika as a role model for Women Entrepreneurs. Besides she has been on the board of quite a number of organisations ( ref. to he list below)

Zulaika has participated in quite a number of events as a speaker, moderator of panel discussions, etc., hence promoting women in the technology world. She has one major objective which is to inspire women, influence them, fostering this Women entrepreneurship and success culture.
Since 3 years now, she is playing an active role both as a mentor and a coach to help the young generation to learn how to take strategic decisions, to optimize their business, to go the extra mile, to grow with the goal of efficiency and productivity.
Zulaika is a passionate woman who also practices quite a number of sports like scuba diving, golf, trails amongst others. She is always craving to discover new cultures, new people, new countries throughout her journey around the world.
