DR. PREETHI GUNARATNE
Strategy Consultant cum Senior Lecturer in Marketing, Hospitality & Tourism, and Strategy
Dr. Preethi Gunaratne is currently a Strategy Consultant cum Senior Lecturer in Marketing,
Hospitality & Tourism, and Strategy disciplines.
She holds PhD in Marketing from IIC University of Technology (IIC) Cambodia, Master of Advanced Business Practice (MABP) from University of South Australia and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Lincoln (UK). She also holds Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and Management Diploma from the Ceylon Hotel School. She has published several journal articles related to Strategic marketing, Entrepreneurship and Creative Tourism Strategy.
As a Management Consultant she has served multi–disciplinary industries and her consulting experience spans over 15 years. She has also held several C-Suite positions and counts over 15 years of senior management experience and over 20 years of sales and marketing experience.
She lectures for BSC, MBA, and DBA levels and currently serves Imperial Institute of Higher Education affiliated University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UK) and E-Soft Metro Campus affiliated with London Metropolitan University (UK).
She was awarded Sri Lanka's Woman leader award in 2020 by CMO (Asia) and Honorary title of 'Deshabhimani Manawa Hithvadi, Keerthi Shri Diriya Matha' by Dharmashakthi Social Service Foundation in 2016 for contribution towards enrichment of Buddhism in Sri Lanka.
