ALETHEA DIANA BORMAN

Alethea Borman is the holder of 2 law degrees, B. Juiris and LL.B from the University of Namibia and is an admitted legal practitioner in the High Court of Namibia. She also boasts as being the best final year law student at the University of Namibia (class of 2002 and 2003)

She is currently the Head of Department: Compliance Risk Management, where her responsibility includes, governance, legal compliance, internal audit and assurance. She has 18 years of experience in the legal profession.

Prior to assuming this role, she was the Head of Department: Human Resources at Swk Uranium for 2 years (2018 to 2020), the Head of Departments: Office of the Company where she oversaw IT, Transport, Company governance and Office and facilities management. As at current, she is a truely well rounded executive with diverse experience.

She is also an executive member of the Namibian Women's Lawyers Association. As part of her social responsibility, she organized a free legal advice and training day for the women in Swakopmund. The event was documented in the Namib Times.

In June 2019 she was awarded with the Women's leadership award, at the East Africa's Women's leadership citation held in Tanzania by the World Women's Leadership Congress.

In February 2020, she was one of the panel guest speakers at the World Women's Leadership Congress and awards held in Mumbai, India.

Although she shines bright in her profession career, she excels even more in sport. She holds a few top 3 South African body building titles under her name, and becoming the First Namibian to win an international body building event (The Arnold Classics 2018) where she earned her IFBB ELITE PRO status (first and only). She was also ranked 13th at the IFBB World Championships in France 2017 and becoming the first Namibian to place top 15 at an IFBB Body Building WorldChampionship. Although retired from professional body building, she now hold the position of President: Internal Federation of Body building Namibia. The position entails the development of body building and fitness within Namibia. She is an amid crossfit athlete in her off time, and is ranked 1st in Namibia at her age group. She is also motivational speaker and a blog writer.

She is a devoted Christian, Mother of 3 and happily married for more than 21 year.

Her moto in Life, "you can't beat a person that never gives up".
