DR. NIRMALA KOTNIS
Grand-daughter of the legendary Dr. Dwarkanath Kotnis, on whom the 1946 film Dr. Kotnis Ki Amar Kahaani (played and directed by iconic V. Shantaram), Nirmala was born on 31st August 1976 in Mumbai, India.She is a multiple state, national and global award winner and a multi-faceted achiever in every sense of the term. She is an ex-international badminton player with 20 national titles and Commonwealth and Asian Games podium finishes, a TedX host, sports commentator on STARSports and Viacom18, an EMCEE and celebrity sports auctioneer, award winning stage, television and film actress, event organizer and an empanelled member of the Badminton Association of India.
Nirmala is also a PhD in Sports (2020) from the Royal American University and currently she serves as the Head - Operations (West) of Padukone Sports Management (PSM), Bengaluru, with 45 centres across India.
