Immersed in family life, Dr. Arathi Arun, a BDS graduate, discovered her passion for power lifting after the birth of her second child. Embracing the challenge at 40, her three years of relentless training yielded remarkable triumphs, securing 4 gold medals at the Asian Power lifting Championship and 5 gold medals at the Commonwealth Power lifting Championship. Recognized as the Asian Best Lifter Awardee, she serves as the Women Committee Chairman for the Tamil Nadu Kickboxing Association and is a member of the Internal Complaint Committee for the Protection of Women Athletes in the Taekwondo Federation of India. As the First National Power lifting Women Referee from Tamil Nadu, her exceptional achievements have garnered prestigious awards, including the Smt. Sonia Gandhi Women Achiever Award and the Dr. Abdul Kalam Women Achiever Award and many more. Overcoming a severe arm fracture in 2022, she went on to clinch gold, reinforcing the belief that dedication, hard work, and motivation leads to achievements, she aspires to set new records globally. Dr. Arathi is also an India turns Pink and IDA Ambassador. She exemplifies unwavering dedication to sports and women's empowerment.
