DR. ZAHRA RASHID AL RAWAHI

Dr. Zahra AL-Rawahi is a Director of Innovation Capacity Building at The Research Council. Previously, she served as Director of Research of Communication and Information Technology. She was the director of Medical Informatics Unit at Sultan Qaboos University – College of Medicine & Health Sciences. She has long experiences in teaching informatics at Sultan Qaboos University.
Dr. Al-Rawahi works involve developing talents in Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) and equip them with the requisite knowledge, skills and attitudes that can promote them to be in positions of influence within the organizations. She believe professionals who understand the dynamics of science and technology within the context of economic and market development, are critical to help in designing blueprints and strategic implementation frameworks to lead strategic transformation within countries and organizations.
Dr. Al-Rawahi serves as an Associate Researcher on e-Learning. She has conducted research, workshops, and presented large number of papers on International conferences and gathering. Her Major research interests include e-learning/e-assessment, adaptive system and Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS). Dr. Al-Rawahi holds a Ph.D in Computer Sciences and Artificial Intelligences from University of Sussex. She is also a member of many International professional organizations on ICT.
