Television Actress, a Painter, a Columnist and Poet

Ms. Rashmi Pitre is a popular Television Actress, a Painter, a Columnist and Poet. She has acted in seven hindi TV serials mainly on Star Plus and Zee TV in central lead roles. She has acted in short films, couple of feature films and was a leading actress in English and Hindi theatre plays. Rashmi is also trained in Indian Classical Dance Kathak and performs Kathak and Bollywood Dance.

Rashmi is also a Columnist and a poet.
She has written English poems and many articles, some are also published on reputed websites and newspapers like CSR Journal, Deccan Herald newspaper, Times of India, etc. She mainly writes on Nature, Culture, motivation and Inspiration, Women Empowerment and Leadership. She is a Celebrity Speaker in various panel discussions and individual Speaker sessions at prestigious events and conferences in India and abroad. She also conducts English poetry writing workshops at various litfests and events.

Rashmi has a degree in B. A. with Honors in Ancient Indian Culture ( History of Art, Architecture and Philosophy of Ancient India) from St. Xavier's College, Autonomous, Mumbai and has a Diploma in Original Philosophy of Buddhism.

Rashmi Pitre has a Diploma in Art Therapy and Life Coaching from London.

Rashmi Pitre's paintings are mainly abstracts on Nature and also about peacebuilding through environmental awareness.

She is a reputed painter with 35 professional painting exhibitions in India, Canada and USA including those where she has represented India in Canada and USA. She also had a Solo Exhibition of her paintings at the most prestigious Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. She is a recipient of over 60 awards including the prestigious Government's Mumbai Mayor Award, International Women's Day award, Best Actress Awards, many awards for painting and acting etc.

She has tried to do her bit for social causes and awareness by contributing to Rotary Clubs, organisations and fund raising activities. Her paintings of MC Mary Kom was also used for fund raising at an event in Mumbai which was graced by World Boxing Champion Mary Kom herself.
