She was employed as Head of Physiotherapy at Metro TB Hospital Centre, a world renowned centre of excellence for the management of tuberculosis, for 18years, where she lead a team of physiotherapists and support staff. She started her fitness journey in February 2015, after wanting to lose a little weight, but soon fell inlove with the lifestyle of healthy living, pumping iron, eating healthy and seeing how this affected not only the way her body changed, but also the way she felt. She entered her first bodybuilding competition in August 2015, Western Province IFBB [International Federation of Bodybuilding], where she placed 3rd in her lineup. She was determined to come back the following year and win. In March 2016 she entered her 2nd competition, IFBB Shameen Classic, and was told that she was too lean and ripped for the category she had prepped for and had to enter the next level category, Body Fitness.

She placed 1st in this lineup and was invited to compete at the "by invite only" International competition, IFBB Arnold Classic Africa, where she placed 5th. Then came WP IFBB in August 2016, where she placed 1st. Followed by South African Championships, where she placed 1st and achieved her official Protea Colours. In December 2016, she had the honour of representing her country at the IFBB World Championships in Santo Domingo Dominican Republic. The following year she placed 2nd at the International Competition IFBB Arnold Classic Africa.
