Amrita Bhinder is an alumna of the Lawrence School Sanawar, Panjab University and the Indian Institute of Management– Ahmedabad. Amrita was the legal head for an American conglomerate and has over 15 years of experience in the legal arena ranging from Supreme Court, Tribunals to consultancy and corporate.

As a personal achievement of sorts, Amrita has overcome many debilitating medical problems such as Type-1 Juvenile Diabetes, Portal Vein Thrombosis and Neurological complications since childhood and was an athletics and chess championship throughout her school life. Her winning streak continued across the length and breadth of her professional career where she did not hold back from actively practicing litigation to mitigate risks for big corporate houses and small litigants representing them from the lowest district court to the Supreme Court of India.

Being a witness to the transformation that India is undergoing, Amrita decided to give up her 9 to 5 corporate job and volunteered to take an active part to bring change in approach to democracy, which is willing to engage in polity in a friendly and multi-dimensional manner for a New India.

To achieve this dream, she recently forayed into active politics and is the State Spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Chandigarh. She is actively involved in the one of the largest youth political organization of India and partnering to provide a platform to young talented youth to serve the Nation and to evolve our democracy with Indian values and culture.
