Ms. Romina Dewan Kabir has vast experience over 20 years in the development sector in general and education , environment and training in particular. Her organization works in an incredibly innovative way to nurture values based education through developing curriculum based activities for school children . Her passion lies to work with the children and give them opportunity to reflect upon their gained knowledge for sustainable learning and empower women to avail their rights in equitable way.
"Learning by Reflecting" a handbook for the School teachers as a fellow of SIDA ESD programme , 3 modules for Department of Women Affairs GoB , monitoring indicator for a government health project and trainer competencies are some of her work to be mentioned.
She did her Master's in Public Administration from Dhaka University and worked in different International organizations as Head of education programme for long . She is also well reputed for writing articles in renowned journals and daily English Newspaper.
As a short term consultant she supported different organization funded by Action Aid Bangladesh, DFID, UNFPA, Oxam, Enfants Du Monde, USAID, Leprosy Mission Bangladesh , Arannayk Foundation etc to enhance their knowledge and capacity . Organizing SAARC HAVEERU Coastal Awareness festival for school children in 2012 in Bangladesh was a success proving her efficient organizational skill. Her interest on environment and children has encouraged her to come up with the unique concept of approaching school with a theme "Our Environment Our Resource" and discuss various environmental issues in an interactive way and integrating the lessons in their daily lifestyle to change their behavior , became very popular among the school children.
Romina has been honoured with " Women Leadership Achievement Award" in 2015 by World Women Leadership Congress and Awards. Her family and the children has always been an inspiration to her work.
