Ria is a self motivated person with an extremely positive outlook towards life. She believes in solving organisational challenges through people oriented strategies. She currently works as an HR Business Partner with the Sales and Marketing vertical (Global Business Organisation) of Google India since May 2015. In addition to her HRBP role, Ria also heads multiple key projects for Google APAC.
Prior to Google, she worked with the pharmaceutical giant, Pfizer, as an HR Business Partner. As part of her role, she managed four of Pfizer's key businesses and have also worked on multiple projects pertaining to Organisational design and development, HR strategy, Change management, Career progression and Compensation and benefits. Ria started her career with Larsen & Toubro as an HR Generalist and worked for their financial services division.
Learning agility, attention to detail and quality, critical thinking, creativity and analytical mindset are some of Ria's key strengths. She thrives in a challenging environment and can handle ambiguity and constant change with much ease.
Outside work, Ria is passionate about dancing, traveling, baking and children's causes. She is a diploma holder in Kathak dance and has also been trained in western dance forms under Shiamak Davar.
Additionally, she has also worked as a volunteer with Teach for India, UNICEF, Soroptimist International and Railway Children, UK.
Ria is a Bachelor in Technology in Electronics and Communication from West Bengal University of Technology and has an MBA degree in Human Resources from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon.
